2016 William J. Greek Memorial Leadership Award Winner
The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation has chosen Dr. Brenden Moon as this year’s William J. Greek Memorial Leadership Award recipient. Dr. Moon began practicing in July of 2007. After growing up in a military family and living in Germany, Texas, Kuwait, and Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and began working in West Central Illinois immediately thereafter.
Dr. Moon became the first dentist at the new Hancock County Dental Center in Carthage, Illinois – and began working to provide treatment in this Federally designated underserved location. In 2008 he also began working with Dr. Paul Obrock in private practice at Cornerstone Dental Health in Quincy, Illinois.
Through his work at both locations, Dr. Moon has had the opportunity to garner experience early in the economics and treatment delivery challenges faced by both Private and Public dental providers in Illinois. He’s used his knowledge and experience to develop treatment delivery systems that have helped provide care to patients in both Adams and Hancock County throughout the last decade.
Brenden has worked hard to be an active contributor in organized dentistry such that he can represent New Dentists and use his experiences in a positive way to influence the dental profession now and in years to come. He’s constantly loved and supported by his wonderful wife Jessica and sons; Brody-6 and Blake-4.
